2 Year Pictures

We went to a new photographer for Sophia's 2 year pictures. She was wonderful and Sophia definitely made her work hard! The photographer gave us a sneak peek of the pictures on her blog. She looks so unbelievably grown up!...and beautiful of course. :-)

Sophia Turns Two!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Sophia's 2nd birthday! We were fortunate to be able to celebrate with friends and family, including Carl's parents who flew in from Michigan. Sophia loved having all of her friends in one place, but also felt a bit overwhelmed!

Here are two pictures of Sophia in her Easter dress. She refused to pose for a picture so I just snapped what I could. Her 2 year pictures next weekend should be interesting! She'll give the photographer a run for her money...literally!

A Day at the Park

Wow! It has been a seriously long time since I've updated the blog! Today was a beautiful day...65 and sunny...so Sophia and I took a walk to the park. Carl was busy slaving away in our guest bathroom, trying to get the floor redone before we have guests in a few weeks.

Sophia had a ton of fun at the park. We hadn't been to this one in a while, so she could do much more than she could last summer. Oh boy, I just can't wait till summer!!!

More Fall Fun

The weather this fall has been pretty amazing so far and we have had the opportunity to have lots of fun outdoors. Below are some fun pictures of Sophia discovering how much fun a big pile of leaves can be.

Fall Festivities

Today Sophia and I went to a play date. Some friends of mine switched a few dates around so that we could make it to the play dates on a few of my days off. I sure miss the summer when I could go all the time! Today's play date was a Halloween theme. The kids dressed up, painted Halloween pictures, ate yummy sugar cookies, and had a ton of fun running off their sugar highs! By the time they ate their goodies and painted, you'll notice they were half nude! Unfortunately, Sophia didn't enjoy her bumblebee costume, so she didn't even make it out of the house in it. I had to snap a quick picture of her in it, even though she was crying! Guess she won't be wearing it for Halloween!

A few weeks ago we went to a pumpkin patch on Sauvie Island. It was such a fun day! We picked our pumpkins, went through a haystack maze, took a wagon ride, had an awesome lunch, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Sophia absolutely loved the wagon ride and cried when she had to get off. She was such a good girl and really enjoyed the pumpkin patch!

She's saying "woof woof" because she sees a dog. Such cute little pucker lips!

We also recently took a trip to the zoo. Sophia enjoys the zoo more and more every time we go. In the picture below, Sophia and Carl are showing off their fishy faces.
